
April B. Chinea
Is a rising choreographer, artist, and educator. April performs for Disney Cruise Line. Recently, completed her first contract aboard the Disney Wish and second contract aboard the Disney Fantasy.
Now back on land, April is based in Orlando, FL, where she dedicates her time to traveling across Florida as an educator and choreographer of various genres of dance. April has prepared students for Dance Programs at the Middle, High School, and Collegiate levels; many being accepted to programs such as NYU Tish, New World School of the Arts, etc.
April graduated from Florida State University with a dual degree in Dance and Business Management. She has trained under prestigious professors, domestically and internationally, at New World School of the Arts High School (NWSA), Armour Dance Theatre (formerly known as Thomas Armour Youth Ballet), and Fundación Julio Bocca. April has had the opportunity to perform works by Robert Battle, Jennifer Archibald, Jessica Lang, Peter London, Tim Glenn, and others. In 2022, she was selected to perform “Fence” with Staibdance in FSU’s Opening Night.
April choreographs for both competition studios and conservatory schools. She and Io Ermoli premiered their collaborative work “Time Out” representing the Florida State University School of Dance at the 2022 American College Dance Association. Summer of 2023, while working abroad as a Program Assistant at Florida State University’s Valencia Center, she performed her Senior Capstone “Valor” for the President and First Lady of FSU, along with members from the Board of Trustees.
